1 Newton, A. Edward. The Amenities of Book-Collecting and Kindred Affections.
Boston. Atlantic Monthly Press. 1924. Fifth Impression. Brown boards with tan spine. Paste on title/author on spine. Very good book. Contemporary gift inscription on front free end paper. Small bookstore stamp on back paste down. Small water spot on page xiv of the introduction not effecting the text. Spine and corners rubbed. Front and back cover still bright. Text and illustrations still bright with no browning or foxing. Profuse illustrations of contemporary book covers, collectors, and authors. The fifth impression is the same as the fourth. The publishers wrote, "When, owing to the continued demand for "The Amenities of Book-Collecting," we decided to print a fourth edition, we wrote Mr. Newton and asked him if he desired any corrections or changes made in the new edition. His reply was characteristic: "Certainly not. Evidently people buy my book on account of the blunders in it, and I would n't have 'em disappointed for worlds."
Price: 40.00 USD
