New York. W. W. Norton & Co. 1939. First Edition. Hardcover in orange cloth boards with thumb print decoration. From the library of the naval ship U.S.S. Birmingham. The letter "T" plus code number handwritten on spine. Library pocket on rear pastedown. Boards heavily soiled & worn at edges. Crack on last page of text & crack starting on title page. Not a pretty copy but a good filler. Text is bright with no darkening to pages & in still solid binding. The 2nd Leonidas Witherall mystery. Set in Massachusetts.
