1 Tarkington, Booth. Claire Ambler.
Garden City, NY. Doubleday, Doran & Co. 1928. First Edition. Hardcover in blue cloth boards with yellow & black title labels. Illustrated endpapers. Yellow top edge. Very good in good dust jacket. Gift inscription dated 1928 on blank verso to half title page. Book is square & solid with untrimmed fore edges. Light foxing to prelims. Jacket worn with chips on fore edges, top of rear panel & head of spine. Fading to spine. Uncredited period wrap around cover illustration soiled but still bright. $2.50 price on front flap. Story of a beautiful but not too bright flapper. Basis for two early television productions. One on Robert Montgomery Presents in 1952 as "Claire Ambler" and again in 1962 as "The Loves of Claire Ambler" on The United States Steel Hour.

New York. Charles Scribner's Sons. 1916. Purple cloth. Gilt letter on spine. "B.T." embossed on cover. Very good. No dust jacket. Small tear at bottom of spine. Former owner's names on front paste down and dedication page. A cute little book with Clarence Underwood illustrations.

New York. Grosset & Dunlap. c1902. Reprint. Hardcover in red cloth boards with gilt design. Ex. school library. Only evidence is 2" oval school stamp on front free endpaper. pencil tracing on frontispiece tissue, and a charming self portrait in pencil by one of the students on the back flyleaf. Inked number on front pastedown. Boards lightly rubbed with oval stain from glass on front cover. Edges dust soiled. Book is cracked in front and rear but not loose. Professional repair to rear gutter. Color frontispiece illustration by Henry Hutt.
