The author's second mystery novel. Thomas Wise was a famous nineteenth-century English bibliophile. Only after his death was it discovered that most of his first editions were forgeries. This is a fictional account of a contemporary book collector up to his ears in debt who wants to forge one of the Wise forgeries and sell it to another collector. Great ending to this story.
